This is an onsite position to teach students in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Travel to the Jobsite will be required and it will be a contract role for 4-6 months. All necessary business travel expenses will be handled by Coding Dojo.
As an instructor in this position, you will shadow, co-teach, and lead your own stack. This position includes training through more complex projects, online/on-site classroom support, teaching, lecturing, live demos, and more. The position may include refining and creating courses to be released to Coding Dojo boot camp students.
Responsibilities:
•Create the content/curriculum for the Data Science program
•Deliver instruction on big data, deep learning, machine learning, and AI
•Facilitate group discussions, demos, and in-class remote activities
•Follow industry trends for big data, deep learning, machine learning, and AI
•Play a hands-on role in curriculum development, use what you learn from working with students to make the curriculum world-class
•Gather and report on student metrics
•Work alongside Coding Dojo s Online Instruction team to deliver remote training
•Participate in professional training to stay fresh
•Responsible for potential deployment with new or existing Coding Dojo clients with the ability to contextualize work based on client requests
Core Competencies:
•Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles
•Management of Hadoop cluster, with all included services
•Ability to solve any ongoing issues with operating the cluster
•Proficiency with Hadoop v2, MapReduce, HDFS
•Experience with building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Storm or Spark-Streaming
•Good knowledge of Big Data querying tools, such as Pig, Hive, and Impala
•Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources
•Experience with NoSQL databases, such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB
•Knowledge of various ETL techniques and frameworks, such as Flume
•Experience with various messaging systems, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
•Experience with Big Data ML toolkits, such as Mahout, SparkML, or H2O
•Experience with Cloudera/MapR/Hortonworks
•Experience in teaching, mentoring, industry training, online/classroom instruction
•Excellent oral and written communications skills
Minimum Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in data science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related degree from an accredited college or university
•3 years of industry experience working in a Big Data/AI-related role
•Reliable internet connection and equipment to perform all job duties
