Senior Planning Engineer
Job Description Summary
Sr. planning engineer is in charge of Creating, developing, maintaining, and reviewing a program of work. Ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Liaising with project stakeholders in different stages.
The Employee will be based in the head office, and normally visit the site during the construction of the project to monitor all stages of work and collect the required data. The Employee shall do the proper coordinate with different stakeholders to ensure the projects are executed as per the approved plans.
Responsibilities
1-
Responsible for the development and delivery of the resource-loaded, robust baseline project schedules based on project contract documents and delivering any type of Schedule may the business needs such as preliminary, master, revised, and recovery schedules.
2- Produce of all project plans and associated documents (Milestones, "S" curves, Histograms, tabulated man-hour/progress data, schedule variance reports).
3- Prepare & develop required resources plans along with all necessary charts and diagrams
4- Prepare quality plans, procurement, and engineering plans,
5- Prepare cost control reports such as budget reports, and cash flow diagrams.
6- Review and evaluate subcontractor schedules and reports in accordance with the project plan.
7- Track and monitor day-to-day work activities/progress and prepare weekly and monthly reports and updated monthly project schedules.
8- Report to project stakeholders about the current work progress, challenges, delays and make comparisons between plan and actual progress, and advise alternative approaches to recover the delays.
9- Provide analysis of the progress and schedule performance including productivity and critical path.
10- Prepare delay analysis reports and share them with the concerned stakeholders.
11- Perform the required coordination/meetings with the Client/Consultant when required and through the proper channels.
12- Prepare and share with Stakeholders the monthly lookahead and make sure that the project team is aware of the related targets.
13- Handle the time claims for projects at all stages starting from data collection and ending with consultant/client approval.
14- Prepare the revised/recovery schedules based on the approved time claims.

Monitor critical activities based on the project schedule and advise project management, 16- Participate with the tender team during the bidding stage where planning input is required. 17- Promote good working relationships within the Project Controls Teams and other project departments and client representative.
18- planner is accountable for acquiring precise data and reliable construction progress S-curve; KPIs, productivity rates, delay analysis, etc...
19- The Planner is liable for all progress/updated data collected/received; he is still responsible to validate before utilizing in his area outcome; dashboard, updates, revised schedules, charts, etc.
