Location: KSA – Jazan

The Lead planner, reporting to Project Controls Manager, supervises the planning team for the schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery plan development activities for small to medium-sized projects. Supports project organizational and administrative activities. Supervises the development and integration of individual schedules into the total project plan (Master Schedule). Establishes milestones for the total project and supervises schedule resource loading and leveling. Supports the development of scheduling standards and procedures. Performs project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine the criticality of scheduled activities. Recommends alternatives for schedule improvement to the project team for discussion and/or decision.

An extensive understanding of the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules inclusive of design, procurement, construction, closeout, equipment installation, and commissioning activities.

Creating Baseline cost and resource-loaded schedules using Primavera P6.

Reporting on the progress of the schedules using reporting practices such as Earned Value techniques.

Presenting Schedule updates to the management team, and preparing visual presentations of the schedule.

Leading the planning team in the delivery of projects, with technical inputs from numerous disciplines.

Progress reporting including man-hour, progress, and productivity reports/histograms/fully developed working plan/s-curves/forecasts

Approve the Contract / Baseline Program in conjunction with the Senior Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Project Control Manager.

Interface with cost control engineers to forecast final estimates of expenditure

Identify areas where performance is at variance with the baseline plan and discuss corrective action with those responsible for the execution of the work

Review externally produced plans to ensure they comply with the needs of the project

Provide leadership and guidance to project teams and project management concerning baseline schedules and schedule development, float strategy, schedule success factors, identified critical/sub-critical path, schedule logic, stakeholder interfaces, and project drivers. Also ensure effective communication of schedule sensitivities, concerns, potential schedule threats, outcomes of schedule performance analysis, critical path impacts, etc. on a timely basis to all related stakeholders and decision-makers in the project and functional organization as the topmost priority throughout the project life cycle.
