POSITION SUMMARY

Location: KSA – Jazan

The successful candidate will:

Ensure the Projects entrusted are executed in a timely manner and comply with quality and safety requirements.

Ensure adequate and effective communication within and across the project team, internal and external stakeholders

Ensure technical and execution risks are identified and managed

Establish and maintain relationships with senior management, operations, engineering, and Saudi Aramco personnel to achieve success

Ensure progress status is transparent and accurately reported on a periodic basis

NATURE AND SCOPE

The job involves a broad knowledge of Electrical Engineering - ETAP, PSSE, and PSCAD Studies, PSA/PMS (Power System Automation/Power management system), SA Grid Code

Must have managed electrical projects related to Power Plants of large size

Construction Management skills to manage a diverse group of Engineers, Technicians, and other stakeholders

Knowledge of and familiarity with Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards, Procedures, Best Practices and Inspection Procedures (SAES, SAEP, SABP, and SAIP) and Materials Systems Specifications (SAMSS)

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

This position is accountable for the following end results:

1. Works with Engineering to develop the scope and schedule of Projects during the construction phase.

2. Works jointly with Engineering and Transmission Service Provider coordinating the activities and studies to be developed to fulfill the specific project requirements in this regard in a timely and efficient manner.

3. Reports to the Project Manager / Director as Construction Manager on assigned projects during the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning phases of the project. Coordinate with company Engineers and Contractor Engineers & designers.

4. Executes assigned work in accordance with the Project Execution Plan and applicable Project Procedures and Standards. Ensures that the work follows relevant HSE, Quality standards, and procedures always.

5. Leads a team of direct and indirect reports to deliver projects safely according to the agreed scope, quality, and schedule.

6. Manages Procurement activities by the Engineering Contractor and internal departments in accordance with the agreed scope of work of the project.

7. Understands the technical content of Electrical Engineering documents. Coordinates reviews of the documents and ensures compliance with the overall objectives of the project and the needs of the business.

8. Manages the interfaces between the various parties on the project including Engineering, Contractors, Vendors, Operations, HSE, and Quality.

9. Leads the planning and execution of the fieldwork in conjunction with the Construction Management, Quality Management, and HSE teams as well as Contractors and Vendors.

10. Ensures that the contractors are progressing within the agreed manhour and in accordance with the project schedule. Reports any deviations and applies agreed-on corrective actions where required.

11. Provides input to the project controls team for cost and schedule reporting.

12. Ensures that records are managed in the electronic filing system as required by the company procedures.

13. Ensure that all scope changes are properly raised and recorded to cover manhours and schedule impacts and coordinate review of change order documents.

V. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

· Minimum 10+ years of experience in Electrical Power Plants Project Management

· Proficient with Construction & Project Management and Business processes including planning, contract management, procurement, Management of Change, Control of Work, Quality Management Systems, and EHS management systems.

· Experience in medium / large Electrical projects during design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning & testing, and start-up.

· Must have strong leadership and multi-discipline coordination skills and be able to plan work logically.

· Hardworking, proactive, and possessing a teamwork attitude with leadership and problem-solving skills.

· Good English communication skills.

· Competent in using MS word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications
