Job Description
Reports to: Executive Director, PWIE
Division/Section : NEOM Operations
Department: Public Works & Initiatives Execution
Role Purpose :
• Design and review structure design documentation to ensure structural plans and design documents are in accordance to
best practices, and applicable codes and standards.
• Develop complete structural scope of work documents, prepare specifications and quantify related works

Key Accountabilities & Activities :
• Review structural designs and evaluate the design documents to ensure compliance with NEOM&rsquo's Engineering Codes and
Standards.
• Contribute to the following activities regarding your area and multi-disciplinary engineering areas (as applicable):
- Review, structural drawings, provide solutions and guide the consultancy team.
-Preparation and development of Briefs and RFPs.
- Assist with the further development and implementation of procedures and guidelines for the further development of
NEOM&rsquo's Operations Department.
o Reviews manufacturer, vendor, and supplier drawings and samples and perform technical prequalification analyses
• Review violations and applications for deviation from NEOM&rsquo's Engineering Codes and Standards and produce technical
reports and recommendations.
• Contribute to the following activities regarding your area and multi-disciplinary engineering areas (as applicable):
- Preparation of Engineering design guidelines.
- Assist with the development and implementation of procedures and guidelines for the creation of NEOM&rsquo's Technical Standards
and Codes approvals authority.
- Review manufacturer, vendor, and supplier drawings and samples and perform technical prequalification analyses.
• Make presentations to team members and NEOM Sectors and Departments.
• Lead and participate in technical workshops for NEOM employees.
• Support team members to effectively improve team performance.
• Conduct inspection and monitoring of the day-to-day project progress of the structural elements within the project scope.
• Coordinate all issues related to the structure of the building within the project's scope with contractors for resolution.
• Ability to assess deficiencies and participate in the methods of repair.
Manpower Request• Monitor workflows and schedules with designated contractors.
• Attends coordination meetings for a structural system with Project Management Team, Commissioning and Facilities
Management.
• Assists in making technical decisions.
• Evaluates work performed by contractors.
• Must be able to maintain records and report on a daily basis to the Project Manager.
• Witness all testing and commissioning.
• Ability to monitor new construction and rectification of structural elements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience :
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Structural design and review in accordance with applicable IBC, ACI, ASCE, AISC,
PCI and PTI Code and Standards and other best practice regulations.
• Experience with a wide variety of building typologies and different structural materials.
• Experience in performing design calculations and preparing design reports, construction drawings, and technical
specifications.
• General knowledge and orientation in latest trends in Structural engineering, innovation, technology, and construction
techniques.
• Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, handling multiple project assignments, and meeting strict deadlines.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Demonstrated skills in communication, good relationship building, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English (required).
• Proficiency in the use of the latest Structural Engineering design software.
• Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM).
Qualifications :
• Bachelor's and/ or higher Degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited University.
• Professional Engineering/ Licensed Structural Engineer (PE, MI StructE, SCE Consultant) or similar is a requirement.
• Membership in societies related to Structural Engineering such as the ACI, ASCE, AISC, PCI, and PTI is preferred
• Membership of the Saudi Council of Engineers (or obtain on commencement).
• NOTE – Research and academic activities may be considered in lieu of years of industry experience.
Salary: As per the market rate
Working Hours: As per the Saudi Labor Law
Contract Duration: 01 year
Vacation: 21 working days every year

The candidate's current location should be in Saudi Arabia
