To carry out shift security duties, access control, security checks, and implementation of the integrated security plan at ARM. Duties include electronic surveillance/monitoring CCTV, conducting patrols, performing searches, responding to alarms, implementing access control procedures, pass and ID validation, material control, PTW verification, record keeping, and support to emergency response events.
Educational Requirements
Secondary school education (12 yrs.) followed by formal security training
Advanced military or law enforcement training is highly desirable
Security qualifications are expected but may be obtained during the first 2-3 years of employment
Able to converse in conversational English language.
Years of experience
Minimum of 1 year of related security experience in an industrial environment preferably in oil/gas/water
Previous military/law enforcement experience would be an advantage
Hands-on experience as CCTV operator, access control officer, pass and ID officer, or surveillance operator.
Report writing is a definite plus.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Ensures access and security control at ARM as per instructions received from the Security Shift Supervisor. Performs duties associated with the implementation of the integrated security plan for ARM.
Controls access to people, vehicle(s), and materials in/out of an ARM. Seeks proof of identification or authorization and ensures that only authorized personnel/vehicles/materials are allowed to enter/exit the premises. Directs visitors and personnel to their intended area of visit or work.
Man the assigned security point to ensure that all staff, visitors, contractors, and vehicles entering and leaving the premises are in possession of appropriate passes.
Carries out a physical inspection of materials/items entering or leaving the premises against the relevant documentation. Controls contractor vehicles leaving the premises and checks their contents against authorized documentation. Denies employees, visitors, or contractors to enter or leave the premises when illegal material or discrepancy in documentation is found. Reports such incidents immediately to Security Shift Supervisor
Carries out site patrolling duties as per instructions. Checks for security violations, fire and safety risks, any signs of damage throughout the premises and surrounding area, and lighting survey. Notifies Security Shift Supervisor if such signs are present and take the appropriate actions as per security procedures.
Controls vehicle parking areas. Records registration number of illegally parked vehicles and reports to Security Shift Supervisor.
Responds to alarms and security alerts in accordance with the Integrated Security Plan and Emergency Response Plan. Under the direction of the Security Shift Supervisor, implement, participate and execute the emergency response procedures.
Operates and monitors all security equipment including barriers, lighting, alarms systems, CCTV, and communications systems to ensure continuity of the Integrated Security Plan. Reports any malfunctioning or poor performance of equipment to the Security Shift Supervisor.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of all visitors, vehicles, and materials entering and exiting the premises, various security activities, observations, and any incidents which have occurred during the shift duty.
Maintains key control records such as the use of the master key or emergency keys. Reports all incidents and security-related matters such as breaches of security
rules, misuse of buildings/facilities, and inappropriate behavior of staff, visitors, and contractors to the Security Shift Supervisor.
Ensures smooth and effective handover of security duties to the next shift security guard.
Complies with all ARM Health, Safety & Environmental policies, and procedures. Report any violation or non-compliance of HSE requirements (PPE) to the Security Shift Supervisor.
Performs other similar or related duties such as patrolling, escorting, guiding, etc. as assigned by the Security Shift Supervisor.
