Commercial Director

Job Description
My client is a leading international contractor who works on major construction projects all over the world and has an excellent reputation. They have recently been awarded a major project in Saudi Arabia and are looking to recruit an experienced lawyer. The role will involve the following;

- Lead alongside the Contracts Manager negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, and/or stakeholders on legal and contractual matters.
- Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including, among others, purchase orders, service agreements, subcontracts, etc. based on the Project's needs
- Support the other Managers regarding legal/contractual matters arising from the contract with the client as well as agreements with subcontractors, design consultants, and suppliers. Likewise deal with landowners, public authorities, and/or utility companies, if required.
- Support finance and administration Manager in relation to bank documentation and agreements including, guarantees and letters of credit.
- Preparation of contractual documentation and legal procedures, if required.
Desired Candidate Profile
Candidates should preferably have an engineering or quality surveying degree or a similar subject and must have a proven track record of working as a commercial director at a group level within a construction or engineering field. The candidate should have worked in the middle east and preferably Saudi Arabia
