Job Purpose:
Improve the EHS of employees by facilitating, monitoring, and ensuring the actual implementation of the
EHS Management System on the shop floor and provide guidance where needed.
Responsibilities:
Principal Accountabilities:
To provide EHS advice/guidance/coaching to the plant team using different approaches (direct and
support them to implement and comply with all EHS requirements in a sustainable manner.
To assist the EHS Manager in the implementation, development, and monitoring of the EHS policies and procedures.
Complete regular checks and inspections and prepare related reports.
Conducts behavioral safety observations and provides support to develop site BS program.
Conduct periodical checks on the plant clinic and prepare evaluation and feedback reports.
Coordinate the implementation or conduct of EHS training as identified by the EHS manager.
Continually develops effective communication media for communication at all levels of the business through the weekly bulletin and notice boards.
Check readiness of fire alarm firefighting systems and take immediate necessary actions in case of any partial or complete malfunctions.
Distribute, check and arrange for the periodical fire extinguishers inspection and maintenance.
Monitor compliance on the shop floor of the PPEs, KSBs, and SWPs and ensure addressing the immediate required actions to correct the situation and escalate when/if needed.
Update safety logs/registers and file and control all safety records.
Check and update all EHS communication means (monitors, NM boards, signs, boards…etc.) and report/fix any incorrect situation (damage, outdated, missing form….etc.).
Active participation in the risk assessments, accident investigations, communication, planning, Reward and Recognition (R&R), Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP), monitoring, inspections, and audits as assigned by the EHS MS or the EHS Manager.
Follow up with all plant departments to ensure EHS reports are done in due time.
Follow up with all plant departments on the completion of Corrective/Preventive Actions (C/PA) completion and provide support where necessary.
Recognize and embrace positive behaviors and practices.
Carry out monthly audits on Accident Investigation, P.G.I to ensure FLM receives feedback to ensure standards are maintained by the FLM team to drive continuous improvement.
Any other actions or responsibilities assigned by the direct manager that is in line and supports the job's main purpose.
Immediate corrective actions even stopping/ceasing any activity or closing any area in case of violations (non-conformance or non-compliance) or detecting any concerns that may affect the O&S of the people.
Qualifications:
Knowledge / Skill
BA/BS required, in the area of Occupational Safety Health, Supply Chain, or related quantitative discipline
Recognized EHS qualification; preferably NEBOSH IGC3.
Excellent command of both Arabic and English languages and literacy in computer usage.
Proficiency level in Ms-office with strength in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and project manager.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience
Experience and knowledge of EHS applicable legislations.

Problem-solving and strong analytical thinking (root-cause analysis, setting action plans…etc.).
Self-starter was able to work independently with a high degree of business savvy.
Excellent Planning & Organizing skills.
Excellent communication and presenting skills and the ability to engage with and influence the behaviors of others internally and externally without a direct reporting relationship.
Ability to coach and support others to ensure requirements are understood/met.
