Job Description

- Develops and implements the proposed Program-wide BIM system strategy and standards
- Monitors consultants and contractors compliance with BIM strategy and standards.
- Manages inventory of BIM software, licenses and systems.
- Performs the role of an Information Manager for all BIM outputs and deliverables
- Provides hands-on training to internal disciplines i.e. Revit, Naviswork and Solibri
- Carries out BIM validation reviews i.e. BIM's, documentation files (schedules and drawing sheets) IFC, Solibri , design clash detection, visual checks, RDS (Dynamo) and COBie .
- Implements and monitors utilisation of BIMs in all cost activities by the division.
- Implements and monitors utilisation of BIMs in project control activities
- Implements and monitors utilisation of BIMs in H&S activities
- Assists procurement team in tender development and award i.e. BIM capability assessment, execution plan, level of development matrix, models, registers, dummy TQ's, service agreements and appointments
- Monitors and confirms the utilisation of BIM during construction activities
- Monitors and confirms integration of Consultants/Contractors systems with BIM
- Carries out BIM/design reviews, across all design stages or specific design packages
- Manages the BIM/design process such that the highest quality of design deliverables is submitted for project team reviews.
- Ensures and validates that co-ordination with other design discipline review teams are carried out.
- Carries out BIM/design reviews with respect to relevant local and international design codes of practice.
- Carries out design reviews with respect to the client's performance and/or detailed functional brief.
- Monitors the resubmissions of BIM design deliverables to ensure that all review actions have been responded and/or integrated.
- Chairs BIM review meetings/workshops with Client including consultants and contractors.
- Contributes specialist expertise that will enhance the outputs of the design consultants and contractor in line with the BIM objectives of the project.
- Proactively forecasts and monitors progress for design actions that are on the critical path of design/construction.
- Creates and maintains project tracking documents for design outputs and reviews.
- Provides BIM updates into to weekly and monthly reports on status of design.
- May perform other duties as required.
