Digital Printing Machine Operator

Job Description
Preparing file for printing using illustrator or photoshop etc.. and performing the necessary colour corrections, design changes. formating, resizing to printer and required sizes of files etc..

And Set up or operate various types of printing machines, such as offset, letterset, intaglio, or gravure presses or screen printers to produce print on paper or other materials.

Must be able to produce printed materials by following printing job specifications, setting up, operating, adjusting, and maintaining the printing equipment to ensure that it functions properly.

must be able to inspect and manage the printing machine to their best ability in order to guarantee the production of high quality products.

Understands various printing job needs by learning different job types, assessing needs for big format printing and organizing job sequence.

Duties may also include arranging printing materials by loading papers and adjusting for size, loading and setting inking mechanism.

In order to ensure uniformity in all printed materials, these operators establish printing quality by adjusting ink distribution, level of speed and machine temperature.

Maintain production quality by inspecting all produced materials carefully to identify any errors that might have occurred during production and correct them to prevent client dissatisfaction.

Interested in satisfying clients, they pay apt attention to instructions given by clients on their job and work diligently to give them what they need without going against their instructions.

Machine operators who do printing work are responsible for ensuring that equipment are always in good shape by taking preventive maintenance measures and following manufacturers maintenance tips.

When malfunctioning, what they do is take the printing equipment for repairs and inquire about new maintenance and operation techniques.

They work tirelessly to meet organizational targets by sourcing for and carrying out new client requests, exploring opportunities and setting good prices to job accomplishments.

The operator will inspect all printing equipment and materials to ensure that they are not in shortage and will place an order for new ones when they are not adequate.

Printing Machine Operator Job Description:

Mix paint and inks to blend with materials being printed and job order specification
Correct printing errors on materials
Evaluate job orders and specification to know details like number of materials to be printed, time given for collection, and color sequences
Check printed materials for clarity, accuracy, quality, finishing and other production factors
Minimize period by troubleshooting stoppages and breakdowns
Operate machine to give printing directions in accordance to job order and specification
Ensure that color heads, rollers and ink fountains are clean
Assign labels and stamp to boxes containing printed materials
Ensure that production plates and ink containers are cleaned after production
Create space in the printing room by removing excess boxes out of the way
Receive orders from clients, calculate bills and receive payments
Ensure that printing equipment is well lubricated by applying oil in appropriate oils
Make suggestions in the design and layout of jobs to be printed
Must be well versed with ILLUSTRATOR , ADOBE PHOTOSHOP, ETC..

UAE / GCC Experience of 3 Years is a must
