Responsibilities
Collect field data, check measurements and quantities and prepare the Quantity Survey Reports.
Progress measurements of the project activities including Design and Engineering, Construction works, major material, and permanent equipment.
Provide support, assistance, and advice on all aspects of quantity surveying activities including measurement, contract requirements, certification, payments, etc. to the management.
Ensure that the administration of contracts by projects is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Liaising closely with the respective Contract Manager, Project Manager, Design Manager, and project team.
Preparation of subcontract agreements and amendments thereto.
Arrange and attend Contractor’s meetings in the process of Sub-Contract approvals to ensure Contract Terms and Conditions are maintained for all Assignments and Sub-Contracts approvals.
Monitor the Contractor’s performance, checking, agreeing, and certifying monthly payments and final accounts.
Prepare / Review Variation Orders with reliable backup.
Assist with review and settlement of claims submitted by the contractor
Assist with the preparation of change orders to the prime contract between the Contractor and the client.
Preparation of the necessary Logs (Change order log, Variation order log, Claim log, Early warning log, Subcontractors log, … etc).
Maintain standards of safety and comply with Company’s Health, Safety, and Environment Management System requirements.
Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements.
Familiarize themselves with the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures in place within Hill International, and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
Issuing the required reports to the Project manager and Client.
Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
Technical and practical knowledge of all phases of contract development, award, administration, and close-out relating to a multi-discipline construction project
Knowledgeable of current industry and technical developments
Proven track record with recognized international standard companies, particularly in Middle East operations and projects (preferably in KSA).
Strong working knowledge of administering FIDIC and other similar contract formulation standards
Proven track record with recognized international standard contracting companies
Good communication skills and strong English capability.
Capability to accept responsibilities and accomplish project objectives in a timely manner
Computer literate especially with Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both individually and in a team.
Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity survey functions for contracting industry operations.
Formal qualifications/affiliations to RICS, IQS, ICES, or CIOB.
Rail Experience is a Must.
Communication Skills in Arabic.
