Job Description
We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Saudi for a:

 

Process Automation Network Administrator :

 

Job Purpose:

 

This position is a unique opportunity to perform administration of plant networks and systems including but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls, servers, operating systems, and other devices and components.

You will ensure a reliable and secure operation of the process automation system infrastructure.

 

Your main duties will be to:-

 

Monitor plant systems and networks for error-free and secure operation and acceptable performance.
Promote Cybersecurity awareness amongst all plant personnel.
Participate in Plant Network Security events such as but not limited to the following (Risk Assessment Review and Recertification, Compliance Assessments, Maturity Assessment, Industrial Security in investigating breaches within the plant operating facility, Cybersecurity Internal Audit, PCS Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan Review and Recertification, PCS O&M and necessary documents Review and Recertification, Users Access Authorization Review and Recertification, Hardening Procedures Review and Recertification, Network Drawings Review and Recertification, Firewalls’ Rules Review and Recertification for both IT and DMZ.)
Handle, maintain, and fix all the endpoints issues in the cybersecurity tripwire automated system.
Review Plant Network design drawings and provides commissioning, startup, and maintenance support of plant networks and systems.
Install new process automation network system components.
Perform hardware and software upgrades, backups, restore procedures and document disaster recoveries, Perform software modifications, database and process historian administration.
Desired Candidate Profile
Ideally, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or advanced professional engineering degree in related field with minimum of 4 to 5 years of professional engineering experience effectively performing similar roles and responsibilities, preferably in oil and gas industry or similar process industry. Experience must be recognized as being capable of solving technical problems of Process & Control Systems Networks in oil and gas operations.

Certifications: Network and Cybersecurity related certifications (e.g. Network+, Security+, CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, etc.) preferred.

Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, Design details, International Codes, Standards, and Specifications.

Can understand, interpret and analyze different types of engineering documents and data.

Must be familiar with required international Codes and Standards. Must possess strong analytical abilities and project management skills.

Must have a knowledge base of the latest developments in networking technology through work experience, conferences, seminars and professional journals.

Experience in DCS and PLC systems and Network Communication.

Have knowledge on System Admin work. Especially working experience with Honeywell, Siemens and AB systems.
