Assumes responsibilities and supports the Hospital-wide provision of quality, as directed. Coordinates all activities related to the assigned sections under Quality Management (QM).

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Facilitates the implementation of the specific plan for the assigned section inclusive of annual goals and objectives and reporting mechanisms.

2. Liaises with departments Hospital-wide regarding the assigned section’s activities.

3. Facilitates and supports quality improvement projects requiring interdisciplinary or departmental participation.

4. Coordinates the investigation and conduction of root cause analysis of actual and potential serious/sentinel events in the Hospital.

5. Facilitates conducting risk assessment activities for clinical and non-clinical areas as per the risk management plan. Collaborates with Hospital departments and services to identify areas for improvement to implement quality improvement initiatives.

6. Participates in the development and revision of the department’s policies and procedures and the curriculum for staff education and training in alignment with the section plan.

7. Conducts educational sessions relating to assigned section and quality, safety, and customer services-related education as assigned.

8. Prepares and presents reports on issues impacting the delivery of quality services Hospital-wide relative to the assigned section.

9. Assumes consultant role on subjects related to quality, patient safety, performance improvement, risk management, and National/international standards.

10. Provides direction for Quality Analysts, as assigned, to support the implementation of the section plan.

11. Participates in implementing quality management and quality improvement programs.

12. Participates actively in the assigned committees, task forces, and teams

13. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.

14. Participates in self and others' education, training, and development as applicable.

15. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education
A Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Quality, or other healthcare-related discipline is required.

Experience Required
Four (4) years of related experience with a Master’s or six (6) years with a Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Other Requirements(Certificates)
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified Professional in Healthcare.
Risk Management (CPHRM) or other related Healthcare Quality certificate is preferred.
Specific certification in the assigned section is preferred.
Previous experience in a senior position is preferred.
