Overall Purpose of the Role:

Responsible for ensuring the efficient management and control of the Warehouse Operation whilst achieving agreed budgetary and service levels. Provide an effective and reliable service to customers whilst meeting all legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
To represent the company in a professional, enthusiastic and positive manner;
Plan, develop, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the operations and budget of warehousing facilities;
Ensuring quality, delivery, and budget objectives are met;
Delivering and fulfilling objectives and directions from the operation's HOD;
Ensure efficient and effective use of warehouse space to include layout and future capacity requirements;
Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times;
Inventory Control - responsible for working with the warehouse team to ensure inventories accuracy;
Planning of periodic inventories and participating in monthly inventory program (Cycle-Count);
Drive a zero-tolerance mindset for deviation from the use of quality processes to ensure customer deliverables are met fully;
Carrying out responsibilities for the use of automated and computerized systems;
Generate regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis;
Overseeing the planned maintenance of MHE and Tools;
Check documents for thoroughness and completeness and prepare additional documentation when necessary;
Initiate all requests for replenishment of stock and material;
Perform all warehouse-related tasks as required;
Hiring and management of necessary personnel based on warehouse recruitment needs;
Maintenance of all logs and files regarding Warehouse operations and policy and procedures related to the warehouse and its operations;
Maintaining all files regarding safety management;
Maintaining warehouse MHE to the specifications of the Safety Management Chapter;
Continuously review ways to aid efficiency, add value and reduce costs as well as deliver continuous improvement initiatives;
Create and implement best practice warehousing principles, policies, and processes;
Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency;
Communicate with warehouse staff on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets, and operational requirements;
Takes ownership of team cohesion and team development.
